The topic of this last part is Inner Style as I like to call it. Clothes certainly help the man and woman but it’s things on the inside that really create the person. I have invited you to, first of all, create a strong personality, a strong and firm character, somebody who aspires to do great things and become somebody. Somebody who can shoulder pain and grief and go through tough times. Not only for himself/herself but for the people around him/her. The style is not just the clothes you wear or the brands It’s who you are.It’s how you take care of yourself and who you want to project you are to the people around you and of course to the whole wide world.
So for me, it’s essential to take care of the things that are often covered by clothes. That means
I’m often repeating myself but as a ”teacher” does I have to say again and again things that I consider as basics. And that is to take good care of your body, of your temple. That means having a healthy and good approach to nutrition and training. Not all people have big aspirations or want to be fitness models but everybody needs to keep a balanced diet and a good workout regime. If weights are not your style, go running, play a sport, dance. Just do something that will energize your body and will make you feel good.
Healthy body Healthy mind.
And of course, you have to fuel the body with the proper calories, nutrients, and fluids. Experiment with cooking and find what you like and what makes your body feel good. I have spoken before about having a balanced diet and how it helps you to have more energy and drive through the day. And of course sexual energy as well.
And no eating that chocolate cake every week probably won’t make you feel great with your body.
But of course, everybody is different. Just make sure that you have your basics and you don’t overdo it and as a result, you end up being fat.
But taking good care of your body doesn’t mean only that. Women do it by nature but if us, men if we want to be better, want to be gentleman we need to take good care of things such as:
- Our Skin
- Our Body Hair
- Our Face
- Our Teeth
- Our Nails
- Our Scent
Just take one good look at your mirror and at your hands and feet.If it has grown too much take care of it.
Shave/Trim your body hair.
Exfoliate your face and shave or trim your beard.
Nutrition will play a big role in how your skin looks. Of course, complexion is given from mother nature but you can always keep on eye on the fat the sugars etc on your food.
Brushing your teeth should just be a habit unless you want to end up with Ronaldo Pre-Surgery Teeth.
Nails-Just Cut it when they get long.
Scent and perfume as something very important especially if you want to make good impressions and you know look clean. Make sure you use your deodorant, especially if you sweat a lot and use perfume wisely.Not too much not too little. Depending on the perfume, , eau de toilette you will have to adjust how much you put on.Here is a link that will help you
I don’t want to go into full depth with the mind as all of us are different, think different, act differently. Every mind is a masterpiece and unique. But if you want to become a better person, you ought to do certain things to strengthen your mental abilities and help your phycology as well as your physiology. That is:
- Reading books that fit your personality and character. Study things you love and thoughts and ideas you wish to make your own and help build your character. I myself just finished reading Iron John-Men and Masculinity by Robert Bly.
- Study. I’m a firm believer that till the day your presence stops honoring this world you need to learn new stuff, new ideas and getting knowledge for things you want.
- Have an open mind. Think. As a modern Greek I often times find myself recognizing the greatness of our Ancient Greek Philosophers and thinkers such as Socrates, Plato, Aristotle. In order to become great, you have to question the world around a little bit and to visualize how you want to be. And that applies to anything. Self, The opposite sex, Work, Friends, Family etc.
Simple. Vibrate and fuel your soul with classics. Find your inner taste for all that is good and all that stand the test of time.
